What Learning Guitar Is About

So you would like to play guitar, and maybe have even been trying to learn already. Playing guitar is great, and fun to say the least... however here are a few things you should know about learning to play that are really important to know and consider before you start.

First, let me tell you something about myself and my playing of the guitar.

I began playing a uke at about age two, and then at age five my grandfather... who played guitar and trumpet, and also had his own orchestra, gave me a real guitar of my own. However my first introduction to the guitar came much earlier than age two... because my mother was also a guitar player and was playing and singing all the nine months preceding my birth. Experts in the medical field have told me that most likely when I entered the world I already was aware of the unique sound of the instrument. And was probably wondering what that sound was that I had been hearing for all those nine months.

So, I became a Guitarist: And have never done anything other than study and play guitar for my entire life since... and then, only naturally, started giving others lessons so they could also enjoy the guitar and all that the pleasures of music offers us. So the beat goes on and the tradition continues, and I still keep playing as well as teaching the unique and special techniques of the guitar so others can learn easier... without the handicaps and setbacks of incorrect playing.
